Speakbook has created the world’s first selfie centre inside the world record’s largest indoor painting. It is an immersive exploration of selfie culture and some of the key social and cultural issues in our world today.
The 25+ interactive selfies cover subjects such as drug laws, medical advances and nuclear war risks inside a project that has propelled Sheffield street art into the lime light. The landmark project has provided a unique platform for unknown street artists to collaborate with established artists and increase their profile. Future selfies will target subjects such as drink driving risks in a soon to come crash scene.
In the evenings the venue doubles as a unique night spot for the general public with a well-stocked bar and music. The venue, available for hire is also an ideal environment for fundraising events and private functions. Each room follows the 19 primary economic languages and cultures, of which an understanding of would lead to more effective global trade and a more harmonious world. The exhibition entertains, astounds and educates, through artwork, fun interactive selfie props and 2500 academic art posters.
